Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

During my stay at Club Med Michès, one of the biggest highlights was the Teen Club and the incredible staff who run it. From the start, Nico, the teen club admin, stood out as a true free spirit. He has this unique way of making everyone feel instantly comfortable, no matter your background or personality. His energy is fun and relaxed, yet you can tell he’s always looking out for everyone. Nico is deeply inclusive—he notices when someone’s hanging back and gently brings them into the group so no one ever feels left out.
Severine is so, so sweet in a way that feels completely genuine. She has a natural warmth that draws people in and makes you feel safe, even if it’s your first day. Severine takes the time to get to know everyone—not just your name, but your personality, your interests, and even the little details you share in passing. She has a calming presence, yet she’s also full of quiet energy that makes activities more fun. Whether it’s joining in a game, giving encouragement, or simply checking in to see how you’re doing, she makes you feel like you truly belong.

Luna is a bright light in the Teen Club—her kindness goes far beyond just being friendly. She has this incredible way of making every single person feel valued and seen. Luna is creative and thoughtful, often coming up with fun twists on activities or ideas to make things more exciting. She’s the person who will remember what you enjoyed the day before and make sure you get to do more of it. Her positive energy is contagious, lifting the mood of the whole group. But what’s most special about Luna is her heart—she genuinely cares, and you can feel that in everything she does, from the big moments to the small gestures.

Together, Nico, Severine, and Luna make the Teen Club at Club Med Michès a truly welcoming space where you can relax, be yourself, and make friends from all over the world. They turn an already amazing vacation into an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.

I just returned from a trip with my 10 year-old son. We did two nights at club Med in Miches and two nights at Lopesan in Punta Cana. The beach at Club Med was stunningly beautiful, and there are no other hotels around so you feel like it’s a private island. There was a coral reef within easy snoring distance, and we spent many hours exploring it. That was our favorite thing to do. The beach alone is worth the trip. The food was also really good. I was worried there wouldn’t be enough kid-friendly options, but there was plenty of pizza, pasta, chicken tenders, and ice cream! The staff were friendly and the pool was also very nice. The rooms were well appointed—not super luxurious, but definitely comfortable and nice enough. I would definitely return. It was a chill vibe and kinda felt like Hawaii but without any other tourist things around—very serene and natural. We both liked it better than Lopesan )which was also very nice, just a bit more of a scene).

We spent a week here with our son in March 2025.

We absolutely loved Club Med Miches. This is a quieter area of the Dominican and is just starting to become more developed.

The property was beautiful and the facilities were amazing.

We loved the buffet and the food was great quality.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of the guests spoke French which is common for Club Med and was never an issue for us to still communicate and meet some great people.

We did the onsite excursions which was super convenient. The sunset party on the beach may have been one of my favourite moments.

A huge shoutout to all the staff who made this a great family vacation!

We have a 7 month old and this was our first family vacation. It was everything we wanted and more. The weather was perfect — which is important since it’s the cusp of hurricane season and the weather apps think that means daily rain (it does not; just the occasional tropical thunder storm), the food was great (so much fresh raw seafood & not a day of stomach upset), the activities were fabulous (thank you to the entire water sports team & jhony at archery); the circus team was incredibly skilled and above all the Baby Club child care was fantastic. Our little girl has never been in daycare, so we didn’t know how she would react & I was a stressing over the potential quality of her care while also desperately wanting time off. My worries were quickly assuaged when I realized there were more adults working than babies being cared for on some days! At max there were maybe 2 babies per adult. Our little girl had THE BEST vacation out of all of us, giggled and laughed at drop off and pickup, cuddled sweetly with her care givers and came back to us safe, happy, well napped and well fed every day — giving us 8 hours of child free freedom for the first time since birth. A huge thanks is due to Mai, Sherese and all the other ladies on the team. They made our vacation possible. Thank you!!!

P.s. the staff and guests at this resort were more French/ Spanish speaking than most Club Med resorts and spoke a bit less English. It was perfect for us but may not appeal to all American travelers.

Very good meal with amazing service. Highly recommend! We had Alexander as our waiter and he was great. Good attention to details and very pleasant.
