Wow—Club Med Finolhu is pure paradise. This is luxury at its finest and a very different vibe from the usual Club Med experience. The resort is quiet, peaceful, and utterly tranquil. Whether overwater or beachfront, the villas are five-star-plus—among the most luxurious we’ve ever stayed in (and we’ve stayed in some incredible hotels).
From the moment we arrived, greeted by the general manager and our butler Tara, we knew we were in for something special. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and Tara struck the perfect balance—always there when we needed her, yet giving us space to enjoy our holiday. Her warm, gentle personality made her a joy to have as part of our stay.
I was also struck by the energy of the team and their exquisite service—clearly led from the top. It was inspiring to see how engaged the manager was, with her team as well as the guests, creating a vibrant, warm and welcoming atmosphere through the whole resort.
Everything here is top-tier—the snorkelling, the attentive service, and all the thoughtful touches. Water yoga with Love on paddle boards was an unforgettable twist on yoga in paradise. Dining was another highlight, especially in the restaurant with its glass floor, keeping us connected to the vibrant marine life below.
Finolhu is truly something special. We split our holiday between Club Med Kani and Club Med Finolhu, which for us as a family was the perfect combination. We loved, loved, loved our trip.
See on TripAdvisorWe had a very pleasant stay at Club Med Finolhu. As loyal Club Med guests for many years, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and especially the food. Having a dedicated butler truly personalizes the experience and makes the stay even more idyllic. We came in search of peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what we found. Children are only allowed from age 8 and up, which helps keep the atmosphere calm. That said, if my children were still young, I would have chosen Club Med Kani instead, which is just a 5-minute boat ride away! At Kani, everything is designed to make sure children have the holiday of their dreams. We’ve only just returned and we’re already thinking about our next stay at Finolhu! The added bonus of both resorts is their location only a 30-minute speedboat ride from the airport!"
See on TripAdvisorIt was a truly great visit! Not only is the place and resort absolutely stunning, the staff is welcoming, kind and professional.
Love, the yoga instructor, is kind, gracious and gentle.
Mosey and Adam, life guards/snorkelling guides, are funny, kind and generous.
The staff at the bar and restaurant (in particular Rasel en Sumon) accommodated us perfectly, anticipating our needs/wants while remaining polite :)
There were many activities, well-organised and each fun in their own way (from snorkelling and scuba diving to yoga and meditation to cooking classes) so they could suit many different types of people.
I went scuba diving with the instructor Matt, who was calm, organised, sensible and had fun with us while remaining professional. His English is also very good!
All in all, it was a very positive experience, a place with beautiful views and beautiful people where it seems impossible to ever be bored.
See on TripAdvisorYoga classes are great, the teacher, Love is professional, creative, gentle and friendly. We leave inspired to continue meditation, yoga and Pilates at home.
Scuba diving with Matt is fabulous, he is secure, professional, friendly and passionate about his work. The ocean is stunning. And so is the snorkeling, amazing, Adam, Mosley and the rest of the team are super friendly and know so much about wildlife.
The staff at the bar and the restaurant is very very nice and friendly, they are thoughtful because they remember what you like, so they anticipate when one arrives.
The chef, the food, the restaurant is amazing, especially lunch.
The resort is managed by a friendly, professional young woman called Marguerite.
See on TripAdvisorA wonderful resort in a magical location. Get an overwater sunrise villa, you will not be disappointed. Magical snorkeling off your deck. We were there in low season and were so lucky to have the whole pool and other facilities basically to ourselves.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and made to feel welcome and special by every member of staff.
The very friendly Villas Manager Marguerite is always there in the background ensuring everything is running smoothly and ensuring you are being well looked after.
Our private butler - your main contact for any questions or requests via WhatsApp for the duration of your stay - was Gaya. She was always quick to respond to any messages and ensure what we needed was delivered or seen to efficiently. On Gaya's day off, the beautiful Imane stepped in to look after us, she even made us some Moroccan tea and it was lovely to experience a taste of her home country.
The restaurant is so beautiful overlooking the water with plenty of marine life to watch whilst enjoying your meal. There is a large variety of food at restaurant meals and around the pool/bar area throughout the day to cater for all tastes. All wait staff were super friendly and helpful but I must make special mention of our main waiter Anwar who always made us feel welcome and remembered where we like to sit and what we liked to drink.
The variety of drinks and cocktails at the bar was very good and whilst all bar staff were friendly and quick to see if you needed a drink (or another drink!) Sumon was exceptional - so friendly and made the most amazing cocktails.
The fitness instructor, Love, ran an excellent variety of classes every day including mediation, aqua gym, yoga and pilates. She was such a beautiful person and I was so lucky to have several private classes with her.
The fabulous singer/guitarist Ramjay entertained us so well and had the most amazing voice! DJ Roman was very talented and also looked after me very well the one night my husband was unwell.
The snorkeling/lifesaving team were awesome - fun and professional - thankyou to Adam, Iru, Mossey and Finn for adding so much to our trip in so many ways. I must also mention Ikazey who was so friendly and lovely to talk to - we loved hearing all about his tiger shark experiences.
I love the cultural diversity at Club Med and talking to all the friendly staff and learning about their home countries really added to our holiday experience. Thankyou to you all.
