Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Recently returned from my first visit to Club Med Punta Cana. Previous to this visit, I have been to Miches (DR) and more recently Turkoise (Turks & Caicos). This is a massive resort and a heaven for families with young kids and teens. Plenty of activities to keep them occupied from morning to night. The resort is huge, so be prepared to walk lengthy distances to reach certain areas, especially if your room is not centrally located. I had a terrace suite in the Zen Oasis section which is highly recommended if you don't have kids and want to be in a very quiet area of the resort. Room was spacious with large bathtub and rainfall shower. Water pressure was weak in sinks for first few nights (thought at first that it was due to energy conservation measures), but when it got worse, I reported it at the concierge desk and it was fixed in no time. Speaking of concierge, this was an amazing service to have. They are always available for anything you need during your stay. No need to visit reception. Special thank-you to Rajaa and Elodie for taking care of my needs and making my stay so much more enjoyable.

Being there as solo, I felt this resort was not as good at accommodating such customers. I would suggest dedicating a specific cocktail just for solos (not mixing it with the other GMs in the same venue). For example in the Zen bar on Monday nights, followed by large dedicated reserved tables to have dinner together afterwards. Perhaps even bracelets of a different colour?

Food was OK. While there was decent selection, it just did not feel that refined. I was also disappointed with the quality of the breads at breakfast. Since only one restaurant was open for lunch and dinner, the place felt chaotic at times and staff sometimes had difficulty keeping up with platting.

Bar service was always wonderful and special attention to staff at the Zen Bar.

Grounds... No problems getting shade either at pool or beach. No need to reserve at this resort. I visit during low season, so it was at 1/3 to 1/4 capacity, Beach unfortunately had sargassum but the staff did all they could to clean it up daily, but they could clean the water. I wish the beach was longer for walking.

Acting CDV Luca was amazing and always around meeting with GMs. GOs were also great. Special thank-you to Michelot from the mini club for keeping me company in various dinners.

Overall a very nice resort, especially for families with kids. for Solos and couples, I would recommend a place a bit quieter, with less kids. However, the Zen Oasis section made my stay and it felt like a totally different resort over there.

What a great time my family and I had at Club Med Punta Cana! I traveled with my wife and our two adult children, and we all had an amazing experience. The variety of activities available was excellent — there was always something fun and engaging to do for every member of the family. The overall vibe of the resort was upbeat, energetic, and welcoming.

We also really enjoyed the food, cocktails, and the quality entertainment provided every night. The staff did a wonderful job creating a fun and memorable atmosphere throughout our stay. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for an activity-filled vacation with family and friends.

This is our 5th time at Club Med Punta Cana with our kids (5 and 2). We love the location, 5 minutes from the airport.

We love the atmosphere and try to participate in the dress code, try the different activities (thank you to Mr. White and his amazing yoga class for shoulders). The pickle ball coach was brought in from Rochester, NY and was so good that he had us playing in 1 hour and were competitive by the 2nd lesson. Every other day Jorge worked with my on my golf swing and chipping.

Our oldest kid (5 year old) talks about going back to Punta Cana every year as he loves the kids club. All of his "camp counselors" encouraged him to explore. He even did the trapize at the circus school. And our youngest (2 year old) was having some separation issues before the trip but he loved Rosa soooo much! You made his time at the Petite mini club. Thank you everyone in the mini club and petite club for the wonderful shows at night.

I genuinely don’t think I could have asked for a better all-inclusive experience. From the moment I arrived, Alexie, Florian, and Junior made everything so special. Every single time I saw them I was greeted with a handshake or something fun and unexpected, which honestly made my whole day every time. They are seriously the heart of this resort and the whole reason my trip was as amazing as it was.
Junior is such an incredible dancer and it was so fun getting to see him around the resort — he has such good energy! All three of them made me feel so welcomed and like I actually belonged there. I seriously cannot wait to come back and see all of them again. If you’re staying here, these are the people that will make your trip unforgettable and I am gonna miss them!
