CM Cancun - Gorgeous Resort and So Much Fun
There is something for everyone at Club Med Cancun. Just back from a week's stay that was both energizing and relaxing, the thing I want to do most is book next year's trip.
My husband and I, a couple of seniors enjoyed busy days - he on long morning walks or at archery while I headed for Fitness classes. Three talented instructors offer about 65 30-45 minute classes each week. Hats off to Margari (sp?) whose joyful, carefree spirit only complimented the extraordinary quality of the classes she taught. When there was a pause in the action, my husband and I headed to the bocce ball court or the pool.
All of this activity enabled us to fully enjoy restful moments, just sitting by the bar, watching the blue, blue ocean and sipping a refreshing drink - I am happy to report that CM has an expansive list of non-alcoholic cocktails - try the Booster, but with 1/2 OJ and 1/2 sparkling water.
We loved watching the movement of kiddos in the Mini Club as they paraded from place to place trying out new skills - archery, trapeze, and bungee. There is a new water park for all but the youngest (height requirement) through adult with giant slides and shooting water.
The selection of food in the main dining area is wide with some ups and downs. CM is supporting sustainable fishing an we enjoyed mahi mahi frequently. Truthfully, the desserts were not as good as we've had in past trips - which was probably a good thing, but the fruit is amazing and my husband enjoyed ice cream every lunch and dinner.
Shows at night are a combination of GO produced shows and acts that move from resort to resort - there is a lot of talent in Cancun. Before or after you can join in a group dance and try out new steps you learned at the two dance classes each day.
Tips: be prepared to walk - it is a sprawling resort. Fortunately, there are regular golf carts going from one end to the other when you just can't take another step.
CM is putting a lot of effort into sustainability including the food that is served, offering GMs (that's us) the opportunity to hold on to bath towels instead of daily washing and reduction in use of plastics. I applaud this.
Now what they need to reduce is excessive sound levels. My phone's decibel app recorded sustained sound levels of 88 -94 at the evening shows, peaking at 104. Often the sound at fitness classes was too loud, too. Until they figure this out, invest in some decibel lowering ear plugs.

Girls Trip
First trip to Club Med for a 60th Birthday Girls trip and had a fabulous time! The club truly exceeded my expectations. The location was fantastic, the beach was absolutely beautiful and the activities were so much fun. Although we were 3 adult women, we stayed in the Aguamarina Family Oasis in a one bedroom suite, which was an absolutely stunning OCEANFRONT room (a front room with a King bed and a small back bedroom with 2 twins). We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, and it was just steps from the Taco Del Arte beach restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The main area of the resort was a short walk or golf cart ride away. The main beach was a bit crowded, and some guests would hog the good chairs, but the beach at the Family Oasis was spectacular and secluded! We had no issues getting good chairs steps from the water with a palapa for shade. We took advantage of the many excellent exercise classes taught by world-class instructors (especially Nelson)! The night-time entertainment was excellent and the dancing was so much fun. I took a beginner pickleball class, which was fun, although I was terrible! My friend, who is an avid tennis player, was very disappointed that tennis had been discontinued at this Club Med in favor of pickleball. This is a shame, I must say. My only complaint is with the food at dinner. We really enjoyed lunch and breakfast at Taco Del Arte, and the setting is spectacular. The dinner buffet at the main restaurant was really mediocre (bordering on terrible), and the two specialty restaurants were just OK. We had been hoping for more Mexican food, and although offered at lunch , it was nonexistant at the dinner buffet, and the seated dinner at Taco Del Arte was a 5 course set meal that didn't appeal to us. If not for this, it would have been a 5 star stay! I look forward to another Club Med stay in the future!

Great family stay!
We loved the cooking class with Irad! Great personal touch. The kids clubs were really great and our young kids really enjoyed their time. They have exceptional amenities for very young kids — babies and toddlers. We have always really liked the food at Club Meds, and I’m picky 😉

Cancun getaway
We enjoyed our annual January vacation to Cancun! Despite that we lost the weather lottery (at least there was no snow like Florida!) Club Med always makes you feel like you have had a great holidayThe gems of Club Med are the incredibly hard working GOs and staff! We want to give a special shout out to lovely Liz, Joa, Sandhi, Yuri, Nelson for especially creating a warm and welcoming trip! The raquette team put us through our pickle ball paces and upped our game! The food is always so amazing and a special thanks also to my salad fellow, who amazingly remebered me from last year!
