Magical week at Club Med Seychelles

5/55/5 • 20/10/2025

I’m just back from a week’s holiday celebrating my Dad’s 80th in the Seychelles and I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Club Med there who made it such an unforgettable and magical holiday. The location itself is stunning - quite literally a slice of paradise - but it was the winning team of all the various staff members that made it such a memorable experience. The GM Trishi is a force of nature who does an incredible job of galvanising all the guests and ensuring everyone is getting the best out of their time at the resort. A special shout out also to Nathan in the sports team whose infectious enthusiasm and positive energy made his Aquagym class and hike across the coastline some of the highlights of the holiday while also ensuring a good workout! On the entertainment front, Saleh also deserves a special mention for his brilliant dance performances in Club Med’s rendition of The Greatest Showman while Sami absolutely blew a performance of Thriller out of the water. I also loved the botanical walk with Richard as our guide - he is a fountain of knowledge and gave us a wonderful education about all the various trees and plants native to the Seychelles. The resort has something to offer guests of all ages and blends relaxation with a wide range of activities topped off by all the evening entertainment. Plus the gourmet food was consistently delicious throughout with a huge range of options to cater to all tastes and preferences. A week was not long enough and I definitely want to go back. Thank you to all the staff for your amazing hospitality..right up to the last minute when you lined up by the jetty to wave us goodbye!

Good but not perfect

4/54/5 • 20/10/2025

In the evening they should open after dinner a cooler bar that is specifically for couples with a cooler vibe(maybe where the lounge is that has no use!). Some of the waiters are very nice but also tend to forget things that were asked(like a fork for eating!). Last thing - i think they should have more options of snacks/sandwiches during all day because if we missed lunch we had to addapt to the minimum and not tasty food served at the reef lounge. I think it's the minimum you can do for the expensive price paid for each night. The pools and beaches were amazing and we also really enjoyed the tennis. Overall we will remember positively our honeymoon, thank you!

Beautiful exclusive island

5/55/5 • 20/10/2025

Lovely stay. Great relaxed vibe. Great hiking range around the island some quite challenging. Padel, boats and scuba all great. Snorkeling was good. Suggest to bring your own mask and snorkel and fins as they only hire out for 2 hours and it’s a bit of a pain to trek to the boats each time you want to go. Lots of fish, coral, rats, sharks turtles. Reef restaurant is lovely.

⭐️ 4 out of 5 — and that’s thanks to nature alone

4/54/5 • 19/10/2025

This place is truly beautiful, and my rating of 4 stars is entirely due to the breathtaking nature.
If it weren’t for the stunning island, this would have easily been a 3.

Now, let me explain why:

Service

I’m not sure if all the guests giving 5-star reviews are familiar with Club Med standards, because anyone who knows Club Med would notice that Seychelles simply doesn’t measure up.
Normally, Club Med GO’s are so warm and friendly that you feel like you’ve made friends after just a few encounters. Here, however, service was poor, to say the least.
Around 85% of the staff made us feel like they didn’t even want to talk to us. They provided the service, but without any warmth — often with unpleasant expressions. It was genuinely disappointing and affected my experience.
Even at the bar, while a few bartenders were lovely, most wouldn’t even look at me when I spoke. I’m generally a very friendly person, but it became hard to keep smiling when it was clear they simply didn’t care.

Facilities

The potential here is huge — the location and rooms are wonderful — but the attention to detail is completely missing.
Mini-bars and snacks weren’t refilled even after requests, the bed sheets didn’t feel properly clean, the outdoor sofa had stains, and the wardrobe doors were torn. This is supposed to be a 5-star premium Club Med, yet it felt neglected.
The buggy service was the worst part — we often waited up to 30 minutes in the sun with small children, and no one seemed to care or apologize.

Food

For a 4-star resort, the food would be considered fine, but for Club Med? Far below expectations.
There were maybe two nights when we truly enjoyed our meals, but most of the time, we weren’t impressed.
The staff at the main restaurant seemed completely unmotivated. The tables around us stayed dirty for too long, attracting birds — I even had one nearly fly into my face because of it. It really impacted our experience.

What did work

🌴 The island — absolutely stunning, a true gem of nature.

🐠 The day trip we took with the kids was excellent. The staff there were amazing — though I’m not sure they were actually part of Club Med.

🍽️ Reef Restaurant — wonderful service, kind and attentive staff. You could really feel the difference.

👶 Kids pool — very nice and enjoyable, though it could use a fresh coat of paint.

Overall

We had a lovely trip because we focused on the beauty of the island and chose to overlook the negatives.
But let’s be honest — this is not Club Med quality, not even close.
It’s such a shame, because the potential is there. The management urgently needs to step in, especially when it comes to service.
