Palmiye Turkey

It was my second solo trip ever, and I'm glad I chose Club Med.
The goal of this trip was clear my mind, sleep, destress, swim and read in the sun, without having to cook, do groceries or book a restaurant.
Not only all my goals were reached but I even made friends. I had a lot of fun, loads of laughter, been taken good care of and I even discover a new sport: Aquazen. It's yoga in the water how amazing.
This amazing experience is 100% because of the GO's and GE's in the resort Palmiye:
AMINATA , GO at the boutique. This girl can sell you the whole store! but also she knows how to make you feel good about yourself. She's sweet and patient, and soooo beautiful.
DURMUS , GO at the premium area. I've never seen him without a smile on his face. He is this calm force, extremely caring person. He also loves a good joke. You can recognize him by his kind eyes and profesionnalism.
UMIT , GE at the restaurant. He was bringing me my sparkling water before I even asked for it. He took such good care of me.
VALENTINO , GO at the bar. straight to the point, super efficient and super cute! He is the BEST BARTENDER ! THE BEST BARTENDER !

This is my first stay in Club Med Palmiye and it will not be the last one! Amazing club - beautifully situated south of Antalya and very well organised, which is not an easy task for such a big club which has a hotel and villa area. Chapeau to the Chef de Village Ousama and to Hugo, the Chef de Village ad intérim during my stay. The club offers a lovely beach and swimming pool areas, a lot of green areas, excellent facilities for accommodation and for sports , quality food and drinks. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a walk-in closet and a very good size bathroom. There is every day cleaning service and the club offers possibility to support them into their sustainability goals. The restaurants and bars offer great variety of food and drinks even at 1 a.m. in the morning when there is a counter for late night hungry guests. The whole F&B team is doing a great job.
As a sports lover, the variety of land and water sports offered by Club Med is one of the main reasons for choosing their offer. Club Med Palmiye didn’t disappoint and I can only speak very highly of the variety and quality of their sports offered. Kuddos to Fuad, the sports manager for an excellent schedule which allows to participate in a variety of activities.
The fitness programme is very diverse with competent guidance from the two fitness coaches Clara and Igor, whose classes are both fun and challenging. I also enjoyed the aqua gym routine by Hamza ( most challenging!); Clara and Thomas ( serious work and lots of fun), and Igor and Maxence ( best showman who still make you put some work while laughing). The aqua gym is very popular and I recommend being on time to secure a good spot.
I would like to mention in particular the young, competent and enthusiastic sailing team led by the experienced Selcuk. Mehmet, Batuhan, Shawky, Olivier, Bass, Emir, work all day tirelessly to accommodate GM’s wishes, help them with sailing, kayak and SUP classes and tips, while being all the time alert to make sure sure everyone feels happy and safe in the water (even those like me who can’t swim!). The sunset catamaran and the regatta were as always an amazing experience. The boat trip is also a nice way to enjoy some sunbathing in the sea or snorkelling in turquoise waters in the neighbouring lagoon.
I have also been given very very good feedback about the tennis coach Syprien, and the water ski which were very popular.
The atmosphere in the club is also very nice, with activities around the pool at lunchtime and apéro and dancing opportunities in the evenings, but also quiet and tranquille areas to wind down or read a book. The White Night and the Elegant evenings are very impressive with the dinner under the stars (white night) and the Champagne Tower and surprise performances ( Elegant evening). The evening shows are also entertaining and show the various talents of the G.O. team!

We came back 10 days ago from a wonderful trip to Club Med Palmiye. We had stayed at this resort in 2019, and ever since then it has remained our favourite Club Med for so many reasons.

The resort is set in beautiful, exotic gardens, and the buffets are worthy of great restaurants. We ate like kings: an abundance of whole fish, mezzes, and cascades of figs and cherries…

The rooms are spacious and modern, with large dressing rooms.

But what I enjoyed most this year was the range of sports activities. My husband spent half of his days playing tennis, taking advanced lessons with Ethan as his instructor, and he made great progress.

My daughter and I took fitness classes with the two coaches, Clara and Igor. They are both incredibly energetic, and the classes involved real workouts, plenty of sweat and quite a few sore muscles! ;) For now, they are definitely the best fitness coaches we have ever had at a Club Med.

But above all, my friend Jacky and I absolutely loved the sailing team: their atmosphere, their kindness and their professionalism.

For many years, I had wanted to try sailing a catamaran, but I had never dared to, even though this activity had been available at several of the resorts we had visited. I started with kayaking and paddleboarding, and in particular, on our very first Monday, I signed up for the “Kayak Sunset” session. The atmosphere was wonderful, the sailing G.Os were hilarious, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful!

So I finally dared to join a sailing lesson with my friend Jacky, and after just two days, we were both able to go out on our own. Our departures and arrivals were rather entertaining and far from perfect every time! :) But the team was always there on the water to help us sail and give us advice from their speedboat. They were incredibly attentive and warm.

Private lessons are also available, but I didn’t know this. Unfortunately, the private lesson I had booked on our last day was cancelled because of the weather conditions — too many waves and too much wind…

So, a huge « thank you » to Selçuk, the very attentive sailing manager; Mehmet, who is so involved and even gives advice to people paddleboarding when he is out on the water with his boat; Chaouki, who, during his lessons, has you practise ten manoeuvres in a row on the water to build your confidence and make sure you have really understood everything; Bass, Olivier, Batuhan…

And a very special mention to Yenisey, a young man who really touched me. He is incredibly caring and genuinely passionate about sharing his love of sailing. He has such a gentle nature. I really hope you get the chance to go sailing with him on a catamaran.

The sailing team is where I experienced the greatest sense of kindness and support. Even though we were complete beginners and definitely not very skilled, they looked after us as if we were VIPs.

There is no doubt that all the time we spent with the sailing team was the most refreshing and restorative part of our entire holiday.
