Where tradition meets chic, with beautiful views
Nestled at the foot of the Swiss Alps at 1,750 metres, Club Med Saint-Moritz Roi Soleil is only a snowball’s throw away from the glamorous shores of St Moritz. This all-inclusive family ski resort sits in the Engadine valley, a domain that’s hosted both the Winter Olympics and the Ski World Championships multiple times. Ski, snowboard or snowshoe over 350 km of slopes, take a break by the banks of a frozen lake or stop for lunch at our mountain restaurants. In the evening, take a horse-drawn ride across the snow before catching up with the family over a cosy dinner of Swiss fondue.

Fantastic value, BUT…
It’s a walk/bus ride to the slopes. It’s noisy, Food is so so. Wine, which once flowed like water has dried up and has to be asked for.
But all said, you can’t live at double the Club’s price so well in St Moritz…

Very welcoming staff at all levels of the entire hotel/ village/club.
Wonderful sunny and snowy stay at the Roi Soleil.
It is on the more affordable side of the Club Med winterhotels. The only thing not included was the ski material, boots, skis etc. we brought our own helmets, because it is cheaper to buy a decent helmet at Decathlon than to rent one.
Staff was really kind and helpful, the Mini Club staff made our rather shy kids (aged 4 and 6) feel really welcome. The kids particularly took to Grenouille- Constance and Philipp, as well as Ski instructors Sofia and Lorenzo, so thank you very much, but liked the entire Mini Club Team, donc un grand merci Quentin and team. We really appreciated being able to drop the kids happy at the Miniclub+ skischool (4 hours a day + lunch) and picking them up glowing and very happy in the afternoon. The organisation at the miniclub was absolutely seemless.
Languagewise the GM/GOs were a great mix of German, Italian, French, English, Portuguese and Spanish speaking, so everyone was able to communicate somehow.
Catering was ok. Not as good as some other Club Meds (such as Palmiye), and the catering at the mountain restaurants was really not great, but the restaurant staff was really lovely (thank you Jorge, the entire Greek team) and it was amazing to be able to eat on the slopes and relax in the sunshine.
The skishop staff was efficient and helpful with recommendations and adjustments.
Last but not least I would particularly like to thank ski instructor David, who used his lifelong knowledge of Sankt Moritz to share many tales and who adapted to the wishes and skills of the Level 3 group, going down any slopes we wanted, giving feedback and tips and just generally being a really nice guy.
The chef de village Michele and the chef de restauration Gianfranco were very kind and welcoming, very present and always happy to help and talk.
The only criticism:
- the food at the mountain restaurants is overcooked, especially at Corviglia.
- the gym ist incredibly outdated, the machines old, partially not functioning

Great staff
We stayed a week in the hotel and we were always treated with kindness and respect. The staff is great! Shoutout to Leonardo and Arlend, they take care of the teen club and are very fun to talk to. We felt very welcomed at the hotel and we definitely recommend it.
