Sahoro Hokkaido Japan

We returned to Club Med Sahoro for our family ski trip this year. We had such a great time last year and wanted to come back for another round . But this time it is even better . I would like to mention a few names that really make this stay even more special and memorable as we are a family of 5 with kids age 9,7 and 4. Thank you to your fantastic team led by Haily and Ski Team head Stefan who is always pro active and willing to go the extra mile to find a solution or even last minute changes like getting instructors , front office Nesh, Dave, Josephine and Eugene always very helpful and willing to assist in every possible way, ski instructors ,Mikey, Luke ( amazing with the little ones) , Martha, Felipe, Lauren, Sola, Jardine, Tomaki , kids club team - amazing team with team lead Andrea and her team…. Kudos everyone of them at Mini and Junior club , F&B, Doggan, Benz , Anjas(experience manager) , chef Balan.
We are very pleased with the level of service and personal touches especially for the ode team and Andrea for arranging my son’s birthday gift and the cake .

This was our 4th time to Club Med Sahoro. Great to travel with big groups as everything is included, no headaches over splitting bills or where to eat/drink. Ski in/Ski out can’t be beaten, ski locker is next to the exit and you ski directly to the chairlift. The resort is quiet and we very very rarely queued for a chairlift/gondola and if we did it was only ever 5 minutes or less. The food was amazing, the kitchen team do an incredible job.

This is our 1st snow resort, there are 3 CM in Hokkaido, we finally choose Sahoro because the G.O Bruce which we met in Kabira last year. He is very interesting and nice, therefore, we decided to visit this village. Luckly, CDV Haily, Hakim, Anjas, Shanilla, Shiho and Mina are also here, it’s so good to meet them again.
I really do love this village, thanks Miya for helping us to call the taxi, Nash’s warm welcome, and thanks Dave for showing us around. Hakim’s warm welcome hug :).

Furthermore, of course the bar team, thank you for always remember what I want, when I just walked to the bar, my drinks was always ready. Thank you my dear Hakim to have this amazing bar team, my son loves Yang so much, he is not even a bartender but my son’s superstar. Thanks Linclon for always had lunch with us. Also, Yosuke, Veby, Dina, Firda, Pang, thank you guys.
No to mention the hard work team event team, without them we won’t enjoy the show and party, thank you Anjas, Ishmael, O’Neil, Yuri, Cerys, Rossi and my love Jaybe. Jaybe is always fun and good dancer.
Thanks mini club GO Rachel, Lucy, Patrick and Amber for taking care naughty Daryl everyday. You guys are the best.
Pro shop team, Charles, Sam and Josh, thank you guys for the professional rental helping.

Finally, I want to appreciate some GOs, before I came here I can do easily heel side snowboarding before, this time after class I can do toe side, rarely j turn and s turn, I really want to appreciate my instructors Max S and Lukas. Max is very patient and gentle. Lukas is direct teaching, I really do learn very well from both of them. But so sad my ankle and wrist got twist a bit or I’ll definitely attend Lukas’s afternoon. Really Really appreciate both of them.
For my son Daryl, thanks Joe for being his instructor for the first day, Charlie, the 2nd day, let him upgrade to rider 1, 3rd day with Dylan turns to rider 2, and the last day with Taz. He also did one private lesson with Dylan, thank you Dylan for taking care of him all the time, did not let get hurt, I can see him improve a lot from last year. Appreciate of you guys.
Of course our beloved Zora, thank you for always drinking with me during night time (also Lucy and Bruce), but she came played with my son even she is day off and holiday also came here for our departure.
So many people I want to say thanks club med Sahoro makes us feel like family, it’s not even a holiday, I feel I went back home. Thank you Hailey to lead this amazing team, we enjoy our holiday soooooo well. Hope to see everyone soon. Appreciate.

It’s our second visit to Club Med Sahoro (last year and this year). There was quite a bit of difference as the front desk or welcome team were much less excited or helpful this year. The check-in was messy and unlike last year, we were not briefed clearly on what to expect or do, where to go for the late lunch etc.

Mina Mina was refreshed to a Izakaya concept and it was nice.

There were nice conversations with Haily, Dogan and Tonky at the restaurants also had us feel comfortable and taken care of.

We also had warm interactions with Yang the bartender and Rossi who personally sent us off.

I would like to particularly compliment my ski instructor Abril from Argentina for being extremely patient and passionate about what she does, ensuring our group is kept compact and everyone learns properly before we proceeded to the next class. She had me going when I wanted to give up and now sparked a new interest in this sport. Thank you Abril.

While Sahoro is good in its own ways like calmer slopes and space for beginners, might try Tomamu next for more facilities and newer rooms.

This was our second stay at Club Med Sahoro & once again, we had a fantastic time! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly faces & welcoming smiles from Nana & the reception team. Special mention to Bruce, Mimi & Amy for your helpfulness & care, particularly when we needed to visit the local hospital! Thank you also to Kyon for being our wonderful translator!!

The decor in the restaurant has been updated since our last holiday & was a welcome surprise when dining. The food offerings also provided greater variety & could not be faulted. Benz, Sergio, & Tonky ensure that guests are happy at all times & if you are lucky, you might even get to witness some magic while you dine! Our son celebrated his birthday while we there also & the staff made sure that it was one to remember!

The ski/snowboard team is exceptional & our experience on the slopes was always enjoyable! Big thanks to Stefan, Figo, Miguel, Gus, Craig, Zsofie, Shigaru, Hank, Felipe & Taz for your expertise, knowledge & friendship.

The management, bar & entertainment teams also need a shoutout, so special thank you to Haily, Rachel, Anjas, Cerys, Luke, Yosuke, Lincoln, Kyon & Uri!! The night shows are always so lively & fun & are a good way to unwind after a day in the snow!

All GO's & team members at Sahoro work so hard (day & night!) to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay & it certainly doesn't go unnoticed. You really are the heart & soul of this resort & the reason guests return! We will be back!
