Punta Cana Dominican Republic

We just got back from our week long stay at Club Med Punta Cana. We had been to this resort over 20 years ago and it is so different! We stayed in one of the renovated rooms. It was very nicely done. Great bed and the AC worked really well! We stayed in the Azul building which was really far from most things that we were doing (it was super close to the water park and mini golf) so we got our steps in for sure! The buggy system to get rides around the resort worked sometimes and other times it never came. The food at the resort was excellent in taste, variety and presentation. The lunch beach cookouts were really good! We ate twice at the specialty restaurant. It was nice to sit down in the quiet ocean side space but difficult to get reservations so go early to book them! Our main reason for going to Club Meds (we've been to all of the ones in the Caribbean, some multiple times) is the activities. We had a blast at this resort! The land sports GOs (shout out to Jameson, Mike, Miguel and YouYou) who went above and beyond each day. There is so much to do each day, you almost can't fit it all in.

We overall had a great time at Club Med Punta Cuna. This was our first Club Med experience and would definitely stay again. We stayed in a Tiara suite and loved the hospitality of the Bryan, Marshall, Hiba, Maeva, Thibaut and the whole concierge and team. They helped us coordinate reservations, additional childcare outside of the standard kids club hours and overall made sure we had the things we needed to ensure our trip went well. We also enjoyed the convenience of the Tiara welcome lounge/bar. Yeisson and team there was also very nice. We traveled with our kids aged 3 and 6 who also had a great time. Our 6 year old really enjoyed the mini club activities and we felt assured that our 3 year old was also well taken care of. Everyone from the kids team really seemed to enjoy their jobs and were very approachable and accommodating. Again, overall a good experience. There are plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy the resort with the right mix of activities for the whole family.

I rarely leave reviews but I will for this one! We absolutely had a blast on this trip! It was my husband and my two kids (8yo and almost 5). The resort was GORGEOUS, the staff was so friendly and helpful. I was worried the food wouldn't be good because it was all inclusive but we all found things we really enjoyed. I loved the "vibe" as my husband pointed out which is very important to me. I like that even though there is a themed dress night to promote community, it also doesn't matter if you participate. There were tons of activities to do! My kids loved the kids club and I had to force my son to come have some family time with us because he was having so much fun there. My daughter was shyer about the kids club but she was good with going half time so that my husband and I could go enjoy the fabulous spa (excellent massage) and we could actually have some couple time on this trip because of the kids club. It was the only vacation that I have left since having kids that I felt was the right balance of relaxing vacation and not just a trip. There was fun nightly musical acts each night. The waterpark was great too. I also was impressed after talking with one of the reception desk ladies that she feels very taken care of as an employee there. That made me feel that the hospitality we were shown was very genuine, in that people are happy on DR at ClubMed.

Antonio (head chef), for walking me around the food and helping me navigate my son's food allergies so he could eat safely.
Claudine (kids club) - she made my son feel so comfortable and he just thought she was the "sweetest". Okay, he probably had an 8 year old crush on her but she handled it great and was wonderful.
Miguel: For walking around every day and checking in on us to make sure everything was going great in the room and with the experience.
Juan: For listening to me get excited about the club at reception.

We had a wonderful stay at Club Med Punta Cana, and several team members made our vacation especially memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Miguel, the Sports Manager, Javier from Tennis and Pickleball, Stanley, Chef Antonio and his assistant Antonio, and Eilza and Orlando at La Cave for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism throughout our stay.

A special mention goes to Miguel, who was always attentive and genuinely cared about making our stay exceptional. He was constantly checking on us, making sure everything was going well, and was always available whenever we needed assistance. Miguel also helped us celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at the Indigo Restaurant, making the occasion truly special and memorable. His dedication, kindness, and attention to detail exemplify the best of Club Med hospitality.

The newly renovated areas of the resort are superb and represent a significant improvement. The main swimming pool is one of the best I have seen at a Club Med. Unlike many Club Med resorts, where pools tend to be smaller and colder, this pool feels like a true resort-style centerpiece and is a great place to relax and spend the day. The Zen Pool is also very nice, although we personally preferred the atmosphere and energy of the main pool.

Our accommodation was excellent. We stayed in a renovated two-bedroom room that was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our stay. The modern design, quality furnishings, and thoughtful layout made it feel both luxurious and relaxing. We were genuinely impressed by the scale of the resort itself. Club Med Punta Cana is a large property, and guests should expect to do quite a bit of walking, but this is part of its charm. Despite its size, the resort is exceptionally well maintained. The landscaping is beautiful, with mature palm trees, lush gardens, and immaculate grounds throughout the property. Everywhere we went, it was clear that a great deal of care goes into maintaining the resort and keeping it looking its best.

The dining experience was excellent overall. The El Mundo Restaurant during the White Night event was outstanding, with great food and ambiance. The à la carte Indigo Restaurant was another highlight, offering delicious meals, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. We also greatly enjoyed the hospitality and wine recommendations provided by Eilza and Orlando at La Cave.

The Hispaniola Restaurant could benefit from a renovation to bring it in line with the quality and appearance of the resort's newer facilities. During the Gold Cocktail event, we had the opportunity to visit the Exclusive Collection area, which looked beautiful and very inviting.

There are, however, a few areas where improvements would enhance the overall guest experience. The sailing team could be friendlier and more welcoming to guests. Since the resort is located in the Dominican Republic, it would also be beneficial for more team members to speak Spanish. In addition, the service provided at the main reception for Gold members was disappointing and fell well below the standards we expected from Club Med. Check-in assistance, responsiveness, and overall guest attention at the Gold reception should be reviewed by management to ensure a more consistent premium experience.

Despite these points, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The renovated facilities, excellent food, beautiful pools, sports activities, and the dedication of outstanding team members made this a memorable vacation. We look forward to returning to Club Med Punta Cana in the future. 🌴☀️🎾⛵🍹❤️

Our family had another incredible stay at Club Med Punta Cana! This was our 4th time visiting this resort. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to Banana, KeKe, Japhet, and King for taking such wonderful care of our children. Their energy, kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine connection with the kids gave us complete peace of mind and allowed our children to have the time of their lives. Every day they came back with huge smiles, exciting stories, and new friendships. The Kids Club is truly THE BEST we’ve experienced anywhere.

We also stayed in the Tiara Suites, which were beautiful, peaceful, and provided the perfect luxury retreat. The personalized service there was exceptional. Special recognition goes to Cristel and Marshall, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. The Monday night entertainment from both Cristel and Marshall was so much fun!!

The bar service at Tiara was another highlight of our stay. Tito and Yeison were outstanding—always welcoming us with a smile, remembering our favorite drinks, and creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere that made every visit special. Their friendly personalities and exceptional service added so much to our overall experience and made us feel like family throughout our stay.

The restaurants and food were also great. A special thank you to Youness for ensuring every dining experience was enjoyable and memorable, and to Chef Antonio for the outstanding cuisine. The quality, variety, and presentation of the food were truly impressive and added another level of excellence to our stay.

Club Med Punta Cana has mastered the balance of family fun and relaxation. Between the outstanding Kids Club, the beautiful Tiara Suites, the incredible dining experiences, and the amazing staff, this is our favorite place to vacation as a family. We can’t wait to return!
