First time club med with a family of 4 (2 kids under 7). We had a great time, definitely worth the money considering nearly everything is included and you don't get charged many extras like other all inclusive places. Only extra thing we paid for was ski hire. The ski setup was the highlight. You arrive to find all your gear ready in your locker, however the ski shop is onsite if you need to make any changes. All lessons included for kids and adults, with ESF instructors so youre in good hands. The setup with the kids mini club is great. You drop the kids off in the morning and the staff get them ready and take them out for ski lessons. The little kids start on a nursery slope right next to the hotel, and when the instructors think they are ready they get taken up on the chairlift to the mountain. On the last day we went out as a family, and my 4 year old was doing jumps and going down reds!! Food was great and mostly high quality - especially considering its a buffet. Staff were excellent. Two things to improve. The wifi was pretty poor. Also the information you get given before hand is a bit sparse so first timers are left guessing at how it all works (the kids mini club drop off and pick up etc). We will be back next year!
I don’t normally post on trip advisor but felt after visiting this hotel on at least 9 occasions, this year it deserves a good review. The Hotel is well situated with excellent ski in/out facilities in the Peisey Vallandry area of the Les Arc with the Vanoise express cable car a short walk from the hotel that takes you to the linked resort of La Plagne Restaurant produced excellent choice and quality of food ranging from Italian, Oriental, Seafood including oysters, langoustines, prawns and paella. Different roast each evening as well as stews, casseroles, fajitas, raclette to name a few. The desserts produced by the pastry chef were all handmade, don’t know how she manages to make such beautiful offerings, well done and deserves a special mention. Pizzas were excellent , thank you Salvatore! Really thank you to all the chefs at this resort, so much to choose from and all working very hard to produce quality food. Good range of cheese on offer every night too, well it is France! The staff are professional, experienced and seem enthusiastic and committed to producing nice quality food. I think as ever good food starts at the top and the chef de cuisine currently has made a huge difference to the food on offer this year, . Please come back with your team next year! Bar offers a big range of drinks and lush cocktails, thanks Bryan for the nightly Margarita! Rooms are warm, comfortable, clean and most have balconies with mountain or valley views. Ski instructors are all ESF qualified and it’s well worth taking group lessons that are included in the all inclusive deals on offer. I can’t however comment on the snowboarding lessons but imagine would be as good with many of the instructors qualified to teach both.
There is a spa and outdoor/indoor pool, a Games room for kids, early evening entertainment for adults and children , apologies if I’ve missed anything out too busy skiing to enjoy all the other activities .
Okay you may look at the cost of this all inclusive holiday and think it’s expensive but try eating out on the slopes for a couple of days or booking a five day ski/snowboard lessons then add in a Paradiski lift pass and you may quickly change your mind.
There has been a recent change in the Chef Du Village since we were there in February but the same standards are being maintained with the new Chef in post who is keen to make sure you are enjoying yourself and is visible around the hotel throughout the day. Nice man!
