El Jem Amphitheatre

It is said to be the most important coliseum in North Africa and one of the largest in the world: during your all-inclusive stay in Tunisia, discover the Roman amphitheatre of El Jem, located on a desert plain 400km from your Club Med Djerba la Douce resort.
Built in the 3rd century A.D., it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The amphitheatre at El Jem could probably could accommodate 35,000 people.

Carthage archaeological site

600km from your Club Med Djerba la Douce resort, enter an ancient jewel. Built by Dido in 814 BC, the city became a maritime and commercial empire before being destroyed and rebuilt by Rome.
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the archaeological site boasts numerous remains that bear witness to the city's brilliant civilization, from the acropolis of Byrsa to the Punic ports and Antoninian baths.

Bardo Museum

In Tunis, 600km from your Club Med Djerba La Douce resort, the Bardo Museum is the most important museum in Tunisia.
Inaugurated in 1930, it has a worldwide reputation. It traces the country's history from prehistoric times to the middle of the last century, with a collection of Paleolithic and Neolithic artefacts.
It is renowned for its mosaics and includes a masterpiece: the skeleton of Tin Hinan, queen of the Tuaregs.

Houmt-Souk

It's famous for its ksours, fortresses where people used to shelter and store goods. You can also visit its typical twice-weekly market, where you'll find local produce and handicrafts.
