The best time to visit Guadeloupe is between December and April, when the weather is hot and dry with average highs between 29°C and 30°C.

Gallic flair, Caribbean sun
With its combination of tropical climes and French sophistication, Guadeloupe holidays are perfect for families who want luxury and adventure. Your base will be La Caravelle next to one of the island's most beautiful beaches and set in the heart of an amazing tropical garden.
Islands of exploration
There is so much to explore on your all-inclusive holiday in Guadeloupe. Stroll across La Désirade, a former leper colony with an enchanting deserted beach. Trek through the lush jungle, stand under amazing waterfalls and meet the abundant wildlife. Soak up the views at Pointe des Châteaux where crashing waves meet dramatic rocks.
Dance on a volcano
Holidays in Guadeloupe offer the chance to climb a live volcano – La Soufrière – in the heart of the Guadeloupe National Park, before relaxing in a thermal pool. Visit banana, pineapple and sugar cane plantations on a guided 4x4 tour. Skywalk the rainforest canopy at Guadeloupe Zoo with rope bridges running through the trees. Or see fascinating Fort Napoléon, home to a military museum and an enchanting story of lost love.
Discover the landscapes of Guadeloupe
"The butterfly island" seduces with its wild beaches and unspoiled forests. Start your all-inclusive stay in Guadeloupe with the Petite-Terre and Désirade nature reserves. This protected marine and terrestrial space, with typical Antilles flora and fauna, is a digest of Guadeloupe. Cross Grande-Terre and its cane fields to reach Basse-Terre and its diversity of landscapes. The mangroves and coconut palms, the tropical forest and the Soufrière reliefs give your stay an air of adventure. On the slopes of the Soufrière crater, enjoy a 360° view as far as Marie-Galante and Grande-Terre.
Beautiful islands at sea, a paradise on earth
This prodigious nature is at the service of your relaxation. During your all-inclusive stay in Guadeloupe, discover the plantations, translucent waters and beaches of Marie-Galante, before setting off for a scuba diving encounter with dolphins and turtles.
Back to your Club Med La Caravelle resort in Grande-Terre, walk along the south coast and bask in the sun on the famous beaches of Le Gosier or La Caravelle. Between two tanning sessions, you can practice your swing during your stay in Guadeloupe: the Saint-François golf course is only 30 minutes from Club Med La Caravelle resort.
After getting to know the Guadeloupe landscapes, embark at Point-à-Pitre aboard Club Med 2 and set off to meet Creole culture. Familiarize yourself with the typical colonial architecture of the Saint-John Perse house, get drunk on the smells and colors of market spices, and succumb to the sweet scent of rum from the Trois Rivières plantation. For even more flavors during your stay in Guadeloupe, celebrate the gastronomy during the Fête des cuisinières in Pointe-à-Pitre and taste the local dishes: stuffed crabs, blood sausages or crayfish bushes.
Ilet Macou
Even if it seems modest in its dimensions, Macou Islet is a well-known natural gem of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin reserve. On this small tongue of sand, you will find atypical vegetation, specific to mangroves, during an excursion aboard a fisherman's boat. Find this incredible and virgin place, just 35 minutes from your Club Med La Caravelle resort.
La Soufrière volcano
La Soufrière is one of the most important natural sites in Guadeloupe. As such, it must be on your roadmap! Accessible in 1 hour from your Club Med La Caravelle resort, La Soufrière has landscapes and points in store for you. Unforgettable views. Nicknamed "the old lady", this active volcano rises to 1,467m, promising exciting hikes, especially along the craters and the Chemin des Dames.
Saint-François market
On market days on the island, the stalls welcome all the treasures of the Antilles. Fruits, vegetables, spices and other sweets are enthroned in a mass of scents and colors. Meet at the Saint-François Market to discover Guadeloupe and its flavors. Enjoy a local punch accompanied by a Colombo and admire the creations and artisan products. To an air of zouk or gwoka, immerse yourself in the heart of Gwada culture.
Carbet Falls
This is one of the most beautiful hiking routes to take with the family, near Terre-Basse, 1 hour from your Club Med La Caravelle resort. Famous for being the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lesser Antilles, these three waterfalls of 115, 110 and 20 meters are to be admired. Once the first two have been contemplated, go to the next to jump into the refreshing waters of its large circular pool.
Cousteau Reserve & Guadeloupe National Park
If the Guadeloupe lands are a real palette of colors, these variegated landscapes extend into the depths. Put on masks, fins and snorkels and explore Guadeloupe under its waters in the Cousteau Nature Reserve. Like the inhabitants of the island, corals, seahorses, turtles and fish are adorned in their most beautiful colors to welcome you. Sneak into the middle of this teeming ecosystem and get to know its inhabitants.
Located in the middle of the island and in several marine sites, the Guadeloupe National Park ensures the protection of exceptional biodiversity. Get there in 1 hour from your Club Med La Caravelle resort and enjoy the hiking trails in the heart of the most amazing tropical forest. A key step in your all-inclusive stay in Guadeloupe, you will discover an unusual plant and animal wealth.
