Phuket Thailand

We recently stayed at Club Med Phuket and, while we enjoyed our stay, we felt the overall energy was quite different from Club Med Bali. The GOs in Bali really stood out - warm, enthusiastic and genuinely engaging, almost like a great cruise-ship crew. Unfortunately, the Phuket GOs felt less energetic. We often saw them chatting among themselves or on their phones.

The main pool also lacked the usual Club Med buzz, except during aqua gym. Some guests felt the music could have been louder to create a more vibrant atmosphere.

For families, it would also be great to have more engaging indoor activities for kids, especially for those who aren't outdoor-oriented, as many current activities focus on trapeze and trampoline.

On the positive side, the Phuket rooms are newer and much nicer, which was a definite plus.

Still, we enjoyed the experience and look forward to trying more Club Med resorts soon.

The whole experience exceeded my expectations by quite a long shot. The team are so amazing and just the whole place is pretty magical. Loved it.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing our experience at Club Med Phuket was!

Yes, of course, the facilities, the food, the activities, the location – all of that. But the key?

The people working there. The Club Med staff that we spent time with were absolutely incredible. Although they work really hard, they don’t show it – they are always so so kind, and welcoming.

The general manager Fabrizio is absolutely lovely, and sets the tone for the place. It was lovely seeing him walk around to make sure everyone was having a good time, alongside deputy Hugo who was also really nice and filled in for him a few days.

Dilya welcomed us so warmly and throughout the stay continued to check in to see how we were doing.

I have one-year old twins and a nine year old so I must comment on the baby club and kids club. The staff there are lovely. They remembered my daughters’ names instantly and were always greeting them. There was always an extra surprise, or an extra fun activity, or a fun story going on. Our twins spent a lot of time with Celina (they loved her!), and also Pinkie – and Vera, Nam, Salisa, Gigi and Migo. And the family manager Manow has such energy. My ten year old loved spending time with Hans, Zix and Yew – and the circus team of course – especially Abbie.

The activities are really great, so much choice. The food is gorgeous. The facilities are lovely. The splash pool in particular was great for my babies because it’s shallow and they could crawl around. The sea outside is beautiful and it’s very easy to go swimming and come back. The cleaning team is very friendly and did a great job (you can imagine with three kids, the room got messy). The front desk was always available and very friendly – there is a WhatsApp to contact them easily if you have any questions and they get back to you very quickly.

I really want to congratulate the team at Club Med for creating such a warm, friendly and authentic culture. We were very sorry to leave the Club Med team, and we think of them often. We of course also really miss the amazing pool, food, activities – and all the fun!

First time at Club Med, and definitely not the last! ❤️

Club Med is a totally different concept from any other resort we’ve experienced. From the moment we arrived at the airport until the very moment we left, we always felt welcomed and looked after. There was always someone there to welcome us, check in on us, or send us off.

What we really loved was how personal the experience felt. The staff remembered the little details about us, took the time to have lunch or dinner with us, and genuinely made us feel like guests rather than just customers. The activities were also a great way for us to bond as a family and, most importantly, for our daughter to have fun and make memories.

A special shoutout to the amazing team who made our stay so memorable:

Noah was the first person we met at the reception. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much information about the resort with us. He even had lunch with us and made us feel so welcomed from the very beginning.

Didi, also from the reception team, was always there to answer our questions and help whenever we needed anything.

Su, who manages the restaurant, was incredibly caring. She was always checking in on us and making sure our daughter was doing well. Those little gestures really meant a lot to us.

Emre is honestly one of the most knowledgeable people we’ve met during our stay. We learnt so much about Club Med from him that he actually made us want to visit Club Med resorts in different countries! He also helped our daughter with rock climbing and was clearly so passionate about what he does. Kudos to him!

The Amazing Family Team, including Roman, were amazing too. Roman was always smiling and made our daughter feel so special. On our way back to the airport, he even gave her beads and string so she could make a bracelet. Such a small gesture, but these are the little things that stay with us and mean so much.

Julius from the archery team was amazing as well. He especially helped me when I was struggling with archery 😂 and was so patient and passionate about what he does. We also had dinner with him and got to hear more about his experiences at Club Med, which made the experience even more memorable.

And of course, Raka, Yata, Milk and Yini from Mini Club Med were wonderful with our daughter. They made sure she was safe, happy and having fun throughout her time at the resort, which gave us parents such peace of mind.

We also met Ari briefly towards the end of our trip, but even in that short time, he made an impression. He was so welcoming, remembered our names and connected with us over the things we knew and loved about Bali. It really showed how genuine the Club Med hospitality is.

Overall, we absolutely loved our Club Med experience. It wasn’t just about the resort, the food or the activities — it was the people who made the experience special.

We came for the holiday, but we left with so many happy memories and a whole list of Club Med resorts we want to visit next.

Club Med never disappoints, we had a wonderful time and will be back next year to either Thailand or Japan. The staff really make the place, a big shout out to Jess, Jasmine, Ari, Vishark and Ana, Thankyou for spending time with us your all beautiful people. We miss you already xx
