Great experience!!!

I had a great experience overall. The people who worked there were very friendly. Charles was the best GO I could have asked for. He made sure we had fun and were safe during our stay!

All-inclusive Resort

4/54/5 • 27.06.2025

The Club Med is an all-inclusive resort on a beautiful beach. My room was functional, but basic.

Dinner is at the buffet restaurant. The restaurant was packed, but I had no problem getting a table. I selected some of the salads as a starter. For my main course, I chose the Lamb Shank and the Duck Breast, with Creole rice, sweet potato, and carrots. My drink is apple juice. For dessert, I had a Lemon Merengue Tart and Ice Cream. If you want a drink other than juice, beer, or wine, you have to go to the bar to get it, leaving your food at the mercy of the birds. This is a problem, especially at breakfast. The little thieves at breakfast do not miss an opportunity to enjoy the breakfast offerings.

I was surprised to see a lot of children at the resort. North American children were back in school, but French children were on holiday. The main pool was packed with children so I used the hotel's "Zen Oasis" pool. It's for adults only and is nice and peaceful, with no screaming kids. The near section of the pool is a large whirlpool and you can reach the main section without leaving the pool. Then in the afternoon, it got very cloudy and soon it started to rain. Soon I heard thunder. The next thing I knew, the internet went out! I had no internet all afternoon and evening.

Luckily, I was able to walk to the main restaurant without going outside since it was still raining at dinner time. Each night they have a show at 9:30 p.m. in the Theatre. Sunday's show was the "Halftime Show", with an American football theme. They played clips of famous Super Bowl performances and the singers and dancers performed the songs.

I booked three excursions through the hotel. On Monday, I was supposed to take a full day excursion to Basse-Terre to see La Soufriere Volcano, the Botanical Gardens, and take a glass bottom boat ride. It was pouring outside and my trip was cancelled.

Each night at my hotel has a theme and dress code. Luckily the dress code is optional, but I would say about 60% of the guests comply with it. Wednesday was "white night" so we had a white tablecloth.

Wednesday's show was "Scandal", a Moulin Rouge type of show like they have in that Parisian nightclub, but rated G since there were many kids in the audience. Of course the show included the Can Can. The woman who sings in the bar each evening performed a solo number.

The hotel is right on the beach. The beach is public, but the hotel grounds are private. The beach is called Plage de la Caravelle and my resort is "La Caravelle". They have a spa, where I enjoyed a relaxing massage.

On Friday, I started my day with breakfast a la Française. I also had chicken for breakfast. And the chicken also had a nice breakfast.

Overall is good but…

Overall, we have good experience for a stay for 4 nights. Food is very good with a lot of choices. I enjoyed doing some handcrafted artworks with my little one during the ‘amazing family’ section! The club enfant for my 1.5 and 3 years old is a saver for this vacation.
However, the only downside of this hotel is the reception staff, who would benefit from additional training to improve their service.

Amazing Week

My family and I had an amazing time earlier this month. We met some great people, the GOs were kind, and they made our experience remarkable. The food was excellent. We would go again and we recommend.

Sun, Enjoyement, Serenity.

The food was awesome, the activities were well organised and the spot is fabulous. Moreover, Louis Thibaut was also one of the main reason why I enjoyed my stay as much as I did. He was funny, friendly and able to answer all the questions I had. I would definitely come back again.
