We had such a fantastic time at Club Med Cherating! 🌴☀️🌊

From the moment we arrived, the whole resort had such a fun and happy atmosphere. Everything was easy and relaxing, and there was always something to do — whether it was enjoying the beach, joining activities, having good food and drinks, or simply taking time to unwind.

A special shout-out to Win, our watersports coach! 🏄‍♀️🌊 He was fantastic — friendly, patient, encouraging and full of energy. He made the watersports experience so much more enjoyable and was always there to guide us and make sure we were having fun. Win really made a difference to our stay! 👏😊

We also loved the warmth and enthusiasm of the G.Os. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and you could really feel that they genuinely wanted guests to have a great time.

The beautiful beach, great activities, delicious food, drinks and wonderful people made this such a memorable getaway. We especially appreciated the effort the team put into making our birthday celebration extra special. ❤️

We came for a short break and left with so many happy memories — and definitely not wanting to leave! 😂

Beautiful beach resort with friendly staff. However I find the local staff friendlier than the GOs which tend to cluster and chat amongst themselves instead of mingling with the guests.

Food at the Mutiara Restaurant is great and the menu changes everyday but sorry to say that the same can’t be said for the food truck and the other restaurant

Rooms are very old. Airconditioning couldn’t be adjusted at all 🙁. My room was stuck at 16 degrees the whole time. Housekeeping services need improvement. We are a family of 4, which I had clearly indicated during booking. But when we arrived, we discovered that we were only provided 3 bath towels. And it took housekeeping nearly an hour to deliver the missing towel.

My family had fun participating in the sports activities. The only downside is that the beach is a 15-20min walk through the jungle (no worries, there is a well marked path). Or you can opt for the shuttle which runs every 15min.

First of all, I would like to specially thank Yik and Bod from the Watersports team. They were very friendly, chatty and welcoming,we really enjoyed interacting with them and appreciated their warm hospitality.
For the Mini Club, however, I was a little disappointed. My 7-year-old child spent quite a lot of time doing painting, art and watching Minions Cartoon. I was actually looking forward to more outdoor experiences such as archery, beach sand play and kayaking, as these were listed in the activity agenda. Unfortunately, the planned outdoor activities was changed to a merdeka parade around the resort at around 3 p.m.
The parade may sound fun, but the children were asked to walk around the resort under the hot afternoon sun wearing a simple batik shirt as the “costume”. I could clearly see that my child was not enjoying the activity at all. At 3 p.m., the weather was extremely hot, so I really hope the Mini Club can reconsider organising outdoor walking activities at this time of the day, especially for young children.
Another concern was the changing arrangement for the boys after water activities. I was quite shocked to learn that the boys were asked to squeeze together in one room and change out of their swimsuits in front of one another. Meanwhile, the girls had individual cubicles to change in. I have always taught my boys from young that private parts should remain private, so this arrangement made me very uncomfortable. I strongly feel that boys should also be given proper privacy when changing, whether through individual cubicles or a more suitable changing arrangement.
The Mini Club night party, “Candy Millionaire”, was also quite amusing. The children were very enthusiastic, tried hard to answer the questions, participated actively, went on stage and danced. However, after all that excitement, the so-called “Candy Millionaire” prize was just one lollipop per child. 😅 Considering the theme, I honestly expected at least a small goodie bag with three or four different types of sweets or candies. One lollipop felt a little underwhelming for a party called “Candy Millionaire”.
Overall, we still had an enjoyable holiday. I hope Club Med can take the feedback regarding the Mini Club activities, children’s changing privacy and programme planning into consideration, as these improvements would make the experience much better for families with young children.

Their hospitality is amazing! Food outstanding! We dont even stay in the room and my teen be like…I feel like i have a day off from both of you🙄.. it give everyone a space and a good quality time.. just plan your preferences with the activities scheduled ..You just dont want to leave this place and wanted to be loyal to club med. Hahahha
